France 2025 – Peanuts 75th Anniversary: Snoopy Silver Coin Proof

Peanuts 75th Anniversary Silver Coin - Snoopy Proof 2025 is a collector issue from Monnaie de Paris, prepared for the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts series. The issue has a face value of 10 euros, is made of .999 fine silver, and finished to a proof standard. In this design, the French mint has combined the anniversary theme with Snoopy’s recognizable iconography. The composition references the character’s trip to Paris. 

For collectors, this issue is attractive thanks to the combination of the licensed Peanuts theme with the reputation of Monnaie de Paris. The use of a proof finish highlights the relief and the contrast between the background and the main elements. An additional distinguishing feature is the selective colorization of chosen details of the design, in line with the mint’s official artwork. The coin belongs to an anniversary series prepared specifically for 2025. As a result, the issue has a distinctly numismatic character, aimed at collectors of pop-culture themes and commemorative releases.

Obverse shows Snoopy wearing sunglasses and a “Joe Cool” sweatshirt, standing with a suitcase at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Beside him are Woodstock, an airplane, and a passport stamp, reinforcing the theme of a trip to France. The field of the coin also bears the Peanuts name and the date 1950, referring to the beginning of the series. 

Reverse presents the 10-euro denomination against a texture featuring a dog paw motif, characteristic of this anniversary series. Snoopy is shown reclining on the numeral of the denomination, while below appear the RF mark and the year 2025. Next to them are the Peanuts name and the anniversary inscription “anniversary,” complementing the commemorative narrative of the design.
