Banknote Poland 20 Zloty (20 PLN) Circulating
The 20 złoty banknote in circulated condition is a modern means of payment that combines aesthetics with advanced security features. It measures 126 x 63 mm and its design references King Bolesław I the Brave, symbolising the beginnings of the Polish state and rich cultural heritage.
On the obverse, the banknote features a portrait of King Bolesław I the Brave, surrounded by motifs related to his reign. On the left is a Romanesque portal, and on the right – the oak crown from the Gniezno Doors depicting the body of St. Adalbert. It includes a watermark, denomination marking, tactile elements, and recto-verso effect.
The reverse shows a silver denar with a bird and the inscription “PRINCES POLONIE”, next to the rotunda of St. Nicholas in Cieszyn and a lion drawing from the Gniezno Doors. It also features a lilac iridescent strip and microprinting.
