Banknote Poland 10 Zloty (10 PLN) Circulating
The 10 złoty banknote is a modern means of payment that combines aesthetic design with advanced security technologies. Its dimensions are 120 x 60 mm, and the design refers to Prince Mieszko I, symbolizing the beginnings of the Polish state and its rich cultural heritage.
Obverse: Features a portrait of Prince Mieszko I, surrounded by elements referencing his reign. On the left, two stylized rosettes inspired by the floor of the Gniezno Cathedral; on the right, a plant motif typical of Romanesque liturgical vessels. The note includes advanced security features such as a watermark with the ruler’s image and a digital “10” visible under light. Tactile elements like the denomination and portrait assist visually impaired users.
Reverse: Shows a silver denarius featuring a chapel dome or crown with a cross. On each side, stylized Romanesque columns from the Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec. Additional security includes a turquoise opalescent stripe and microprints to prevent counterfeiting.
