U.S. Mint: American Liberty 1 oz Gold 2017 High Relief Proof is a unique collectible coin struck from one ounce of .9999 fine gold to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the United States Mint. The coin is produced in High Relief and finished to the highest Proof quality. The issue was limited to 100,000 pieces, making it both a numismatic artwork and a symbol of modern American values.

Obverse features a flying American Eagle. The obverse also bears the U.S. motto from the Declaration of Independence “E pluribus unum” along with the issuing country, denomination, weight, and gold purity.

Reverse depicts the personification of Liberty as a young African-American woman. She looks to the left, her hair tied in a bun, wearing a crown of stars. The reverse also includes the inscription “IN GOD WE TRUST” and the year of issue.
