1 Thaler Stefan Batory – Banknote Concept Design 2023, printed by PWPW
We present a unique numismatic item – a study banknote design by Andrzej Heidrich, the legendary creator of Polish banknotes. This outstanding graphic artist, who shaped the appearance of the Polish złoty for decades, also created a limited series of collector designs that were never released into circulation. The offered specimen is a unique testament to the artist’s craftsmanship and precision, produced by the Polish Security Printing Works in a limited edition of just 2,000 pieces.
The study banknote has no legal tender status, but its collector value is beyond estimation. It is a true gem for enthusiasts of Polish banknote graphics and for anyone who values rare and artistically refined items in their collection. Each note comes in an elegant presentation folder containing detailed descriptions and markings of the security features used in the design.
Unique security features and artistic details:
- Watermark design
- Relief and guilloches – classic, negative, and with thickened lines
- Guilloche background with precisely designed raster
- Multicolour fluorescent fibres visible under UV light
- Microtexts, including variable letter height
