The obverse of the coin depicts the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II, the coat of arms of the islands of Samoa, along with information on the issuing country, weight, proof, year of mintage and face value. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
The reverse features the colourful figure of the iconic superhero, Superman.In addition, the reverse side features the inscription "SUPERMAN" and information on the weight and purity of the silver.
