Niue: Czech Lion 5 oz Silver 2023
The silver bullion coin was struck from pure Ag.999 bullion, weighing 5 troy ounces and with a diameter of 65 mm. The product has a mintage of only 1,500 pieces. This unique piece has been minted in gold and silver since 2017 and was produced by the Czech Mint, as well as being official legal tender in Niue. The entire series is guaranteed as to its legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal.
The Averse of the coin depicts an eagle with linden branches, which is a combination of the predatory bird of St Wenceslas, both Moravian and Silesian. The obverse also features the Niue coat of arms and information on the year of mintage and the face value of the coin. On the reverse is depicted the head of a lion with the crown of St Wenceslas. The reverse bears the inscription "CESKA REPUBLIKA" and information about the weight and purity of the bullion. The designer of the reverse was Asamat Baltaev.
