NBP banknote Lech Kaczynski "It's worth being a Pole" 2021 20 zlotys
The NBP Lech Kaczynski "It's Worth Being a Pole" 2021 20 zloty banknote is a collector's offer of the National Bank of Poland. This unique product is the result of a successful collaboration between the National Bank of Poland and the Polish Security Printing Works. Lech Kaczynski was born on 18.06.1949 and died in the Smolensk Catastrophe on 10.04.2010.
The banknote has a size of 150 mm x 77 mm, a face value of PLN 20 and a limited mintage of up to 80,000 pieces. Justyna Kopecka is responsible for the design of the banknote.
Obverse the banknote shows the building of the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The central part of the banknote depicts strikers at the Gdansk Shipyard in the 1980s. 1920s. and the Polish War Cemetery in Katyn. The obverse bears the inscription "Solidarity" and "The memory of native history determines who we are."
Reverse the banknote depicts President Lech Kaczynski, an image of the Order of the White Eagle, and the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. The reverse also shows the bill's face value and the inscription "It's worth being Polish."
In addition to the collector's and sentimental value, note the security features used. The main implemented security features include: Aster4Note® (embossed gold foil), Zora4Note® multi-color angular effect, and SPARK Live® ( optically variable protection).
