The Lion's Gate 1 oz Silver 2018 Proof is the 2nd coin in the "Gates of Jerusalem" series, which depicts the "Lion's Gate", one of the eight gates in the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. It is located in the eastern wall, near the Muslim quarter, opposite the Mount of Olives. The "Golden Gate" is also located in the eastern wall.

The coin is minted in Ag.999 sterling silver, weighing 1 troy ounce and 38.7 mm in diameter, in proof.The coin comes with individual certified packaging. The mintage of the product is 1,800 pieces. In addition, this extraordinary piece was produced by The Holy Land Mint. The coin is guaranteed by the Government of Israel as to its legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal, and is full legal tender in the issuing country.

The obverse shows the "Lion's Gate" and the inscription "LION'S GATE". The obverse features information about the year, purity and weight of the bullion written in Hebrew, English.

Rewers depicts a stylised sketch of the gate of the Old City within the walls of Jerusalem, "the inscription GATES OF JERUSALEM" and the logo of "The Holy Land Mint". The reverse was designed by Zvika Roitman.
