Averses show the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain, the inscription "CHARLES III∙DEI∙GRA∙REX∙FID∙DEF", designed by Martin Jennings. The Rewers depict the scene of Saint George slaying the dragon. The date of issue is also indicated at the bottom of the gold coin. The designer of the reverse was Benedetto Pistrucci.
