The Cook Islands HMS Bounty 1 oz Gold 2020 coin is styled after the legendary ship from the novel The Bounty Mutiny. The mutiny that occurred in the Pacific ended with the surrender of the captain and 18 crew members. Forced to abandon ship, they were left in the middle of nowhere in a small lifeboat. After a gruelling 3,500-mile swim, the captain eventually reaches safe land, from which he begins a search for the rebels.
