100th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Security Printing Works
The "100 Years of the Polish Security Printing Works" jubilee banknote is a collector's item offered by the National Bank of Poland. This unique product is the result of successful cooperation between the National Bank of Poland and the Polish Security Printing Works. The banknote has a size of 150 mm x 77 mm, a face value of PLN 19 and a limited mintage of up to 55,000 pieces. The general design of the banknote was created by Justyna Kopecka. Krystian Michalczuk is responsible for the image of Ignacy Jan Paderewski. It should be noted that the design of the banknote includes direct references to the centenary and the symbols that were used in the creation of the first banknotes for the Republic of Poland. The first of these symbols is the face value - 19 zlotys - which refers to the date when Jan Paderewski created the PWPW, i.e. the year 1919. Another is the figure of Jan Paderewski himself, as well as the watermark, which depicts an image of an eagle. This eagle design was on the first banknote produced in 1920. In addition to these details, several other jubilee symbols can be found on the banknote. In addition to its collector and sentimental value, attention should be paid to the security features used. The main security features implemented include: Umbra4Note® (intaglio angular effect) and SPARK Live® (optically variable security).
