Bulmint
History of creation
Bulmnit is a relatively young mint that was established in 2005 in the village of Branipole, Bulgaria. Although it can't boast too long a history and rich heritage, it wasn't founded as an independent entity never before associated with the industry.
After all, the Bulmint Mint is a subsidiary of the largest zinc and lead producer in Southeast Europe. Starting in 2009, the company focused on precious metals processing and today produces bars and coins that are gaining recognition among collectors and investors around the world.
Curiosity
Bulmint has not yet managed to launch a coin that would gain wider recognition among investors, but it is undoubtedly a reliable business partner for many well-known entities. Serves as a subcontractor for the Austrian Mint, Italian Italpreziosi, Swiss Argor-Heraeus, Polish Mint, Croatian Mint or Bulgarian Mint.
Production volume
Bulmint currently employs approx. 80 specialists in the field of precious metal processing. It specializes primarily in the production of medals, gold and silver investment bars, which it offers in a wide variety of sizes, and additionally carries out orders for the production of coins for many foreign entities. It cooperates with numerous mints, and also carries out orders for specific countries - such as Tokelau. Thus, it can be assumed that Bulmint's production capacity is relatively high, but not enough to put the mints among the largest and most technologically advanced mints in Europe.
Most popular products
In Bulmint's offerings, you can look in vain for coins that are considered iconic and widely desired by investors and collectors around the world. The mint's offer consists mainly of investment gold and silver in the form of bars of various sizes. There is also a wide range of medals, referring to Bulgarian history and culture, which were created in heavily limited collections.
Much more popular among investors than own products are products made in cooperation with or on behalf of other entities. The Bull & Bear coin, commissioned by Tokelau, is a perfect example. The coin was made of Ag silver.9999 in an impressive print run of 500,000 copies. It is a full-fledged means of payment within Tokelau. The reverse of the coin depicts a bull and a bear fighting each other. It also includes information about the weight and sample of the bullion used, as well as the discreet Bulmint logo. The obverse, in turn, is decorated with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. It also includes information about the coin's face value, year of issue and the guarantor's country.
