The Cook Islands Silver Collector Coin: Real Heroes - Coast Guard Coloured 3 oz Silver 2023 Black Proof Ultra High Relief is an extremely interesting piece that has been produced with great attention to detail. This is the fourth coin in the 'Real Heroes' series, which pays tribute to swimming lifeguards around the world, especially those serving in the United States Coast Guard. The coin was struck in pure Ag.999 silver, weighing 3 troy ounces and measuring 50mm in diameter, in black proof and ultra high relief. The mintage of the coin is 850 pieces. The product is full legal tender in the Cook Islands.

The obverse depicts a lifeguard hanging from a rope to assist a drowning man. At the bottom of the coin is an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse also features the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "COOK ISLANDS" , "ONLY THE BRAVE ARE FREE" and the denomination and year. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Rewers show the head of a lifeguard with a coloured mask. The reverse also contains the inscription 'COAST GUARD RESCUE.
