Niue: Prehistoric World - Pteranodon colored $1 Silver 2023 Proof is the seventh coin in the "Prehistoric World" series. The coin depicts a prehistoric, herbivorous dinosaur. The animal lived about 86-84 m million years ago. He was a flying dinosaur with a wingspan of up to 7 meters, making him one of the largest known pterosaurs. Its beak was more than a meter long and was used for fishing.
The specimen was struck in pure Ag bullion.999, weighing 31.1 grams, with a diameter of 37 mm, in standard proof. The product has an edition of only 1,000 pieces.
This unique piece was designed by Petr Patka, DiS. and produced by the Czech Mint, as well as being official legal tender in Niue. The coin comes with a guarantee as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal. The product comes in the original box with a certificate of authenticity.
Obverse of the coin is decorated with the Niue coat of arms and a dinosaur skeleton, the inscription "PREHISTORIC WORLD" and the denomination and year of the coin.
Reverse depicts a colored Pteranodon along with other dinosaurs. The reverse side bears the inscription " PTERANODON".
